Theme: Pension Reform Act 2014This three-day course enables all levels of leaders in public and private sector organisations, to gain authentic knowledge of critical pension matters contained in the new Pension Reform Act 2014 vis-à-vis key changes as it affects them and their organisations.

Overview

On 1 July 2014, the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria signed into law the new Pension Reform Act 2014 which repealed the Pension Reform Act No. 2 of 2004 (repealed Act). Like the repealed Act, the new Pension Reform Act governs and regulates the administration of the contributory pension scheme for both the public and private sectors in Nigeria. This workshop is a 3-days intensive programme that focuses mainly on comprehensive expert presentations and discussions of the Pension Reform Act 2014 and best practice approach to pension management.

Objective

The main objective of this workshop is to enable all levels of leaders in public and private sector organisations, to gain authentic knowledge of critical pension matters contained in the new Pension Reform Act 2014 vis-à-vis key changes as it affects them and their organisations. The goal here is to ensure that leaders in public and private sector organisations, can stand at anytime anywhere to discuss the dynamics of public and private pension matters in Nigeria and provide intelligent answer to any questions in line with the new Pension Reform Act 2014. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to help their employers to restructure their staff compensation to minimise the impact of likely increase in staff cost while maintaining staff take home pay at the current levels.
